Paris!

I will, over the coming days, write a couple of more comprehensive wrap up posts re: Paris. My plan is to recap some of the lessons learned on this trip, pull together all the links and sites I've been using, and "review" some of the sites, apps and other things that made this time so special.

Until then, as I sit in a cafe at Charles DeGaulle Airport, buying time until boarding, I thought I would just quickly recap the last five weeks. Forgive the stream of consciousness:

***Sunrise on the Eiffel Tower (as seen at Trocadero), Cafe Creme at Cafe Conti, late night visits to the Louvre, walking thru the Tuileries, a secret view from the 9th floor, Hidden Kitchen, Da Rosa, Comptoir, Thiam, Avant Comptoir, Boissoneirre, Laduree, Musee Rodin, Musee Picasso, Musee Victor Hugo, Pompidou, Orangerie, the Napoleon Apartments (when empty), the Water Lilies (when empty), Angelina, Dallyou, Pierre Herme, Stroher, Paule Caillet, David Lebovitz, American Library, Bar Sucre, Poilaine, running into A and P at Comptoir, meeting LA, J, and many others, Point Ephemere, Mike Snow, classical concerts at 18th century churches, failing French lessons, Valerie Beche (my poor instructor), getting to know B and J and little J, American Thanksgiving in Paris, on the hunt for the champagne bar at the Eiffel Tower, the cost of overweight luggage, walking along the Pont des Arts, Pont Neuf, getting lost - all the time - and loving it, dinners with P, spectacularly rude French waiters, spectacularly helpful Parisian residents, the quiet calm of doing nothing on some days except walking around the city, the joy of starting to figure out what makes you happy***

There is so much more to my trip, and like I said I will do a couple of other posts, and there are many things I didn't do, but all I can say is wow!
